10 Foods You Should Avoid at All Costs

8. Soy Protein

Health experts are divided on soy protein. Some preliminary studies show that soy protein can be a healthy substitute for meat and dairy proteins. We aren’t refuting all of these preliminary studies. All we’re saying is that soy protein has Isoflavones, which when consumed in large quantities, can increase cancer risks. Don’t eat an excess of soy and instead add soy protein to a balanced diet that might include small amounts of meat, legumes, eggs, or dairy.

  1. Good info here, Mark!!
However, you made a mistake on #4: You wrote, “Vegetable oil contains unsaturated fats and Omega 3 fatty acids, which are linked to heart attacks” You must have meant to write Omega 6, not omega 3. By the way, it’s not just having omega 6, but rather having too much of it. Some omega 6 is necessary for normal physiological function, but we typically get way too much of it and not enough of the Omega 3’s.

I’d also add to this list with
    -diet sodas
-gluten free junk foods and other “health halo” foods
    -microwavable ramen noodle packs
