6. Regular Soda

It’s needless to say that soda is very harmful to your health. Consuming just one regular can of soda is equivalent to taking 10 teaspoons of added sugar, which is extreme for the body and is heavily linked to diabetes. You’ve not even taken into consideration the amount of caramel coloring you’d consume in that one can of soda and the potential increased risk of cancer.

  1. Good info here, Mark!!
    However, you made a mistake on #4: You wrote, “Vegetable oil contains unsaturated fats and Omega 3 fatty acids, which are linked to heart attacks” You must have meant to write Omega 6, not omega 3. By the way, it’s not just having omega 6, but rather having too much of it. Some omega 6 is necessary for normal physiological function, but we typically get way too much of it and not enough of the Omega 3’s.

    I’d also add to this list with
    -diet sodas
    -gluten free junk foods and other “health halo” foods
    -microwavable ramen noodle packs
