10 Foods You Should Avoid at All Costs

4. Vegetable Oil

The fact that it has the word “vegetable” doesn’t make vegetable oil healthy. Vegetable oil may have lower cholesterol levels, but that doesn’t mean they do not have their side effects. Vegetable oil contains unsaturated fats and Omega 6 fatty acids, (some researchers believed that omega-6 fatty acids metabolize in your body to become a type of fatty acid that can inflame and damage the lining of your arteries), which are linked to heart attacks.

  1. Good info here, Mark!!
However, you made a mistake on #4: You wrote, “Vegetable oil contains unsaturated fats and Omega 3 fatty acids, which are linked to heart attacks” You must have meant to write Omega 6, not omega 3. By the way, it’s not just having omega 6, but rather having too much of it. Some omega 6 is necessary for normal physiological function, but we typically get way too much of it and not enough of the Omega 3’s.

I’d also add to this list with
    -diet sodas
-gluten free junk foods and other “health halo” foods
    -microwavable ramen noodle packs
