10 Simple Ways to Avoid Dehydration this Summer

Avoid Foods with High Fat

In addition to containing a ton of salt, foods with high-fat content take longer to be digested. This adds strain to your digestive system (making your whole body work harder and heat up) when you want to be out enjoying the sun. It’s therefore important to replace high-fat foods with low-fat foods all the year round, but especially in the summer when you need to be hydrated and refreshed—not sweaty, thirsty, and tired. Save foods high in healthy fats for the winter!
