Hooray! Summer is here. The scorching sun might be up, but the weather is definitely right for those who want to spend time with family and friends over picnics and barbecues while also working on their tans at the beach. If you can’t make it to the beach for one reason or the other, then you probably might be lounging somewhere in your backyard or spending endless hours in the park or at the golf course. Unfortunately for us, summer also means dehydration.
Dehydration is partly caused by excessive exposure to heat as a result of having too much fun in the sun. It occurs when the body loses noteworthy amounts of fluids and vital minerals and it can be more dangerous than you think. And because we do not want you to miss your summer plans as a result of dehydration, here are simple and ingenious ways to keep your body hydrated, healthy, strong and active all summer long.
Drink Sufficient Water
It’s very obvious that we lose lots of fluid during summer through our sweat. Whether you try it or not, the sun is going to be scorching hot, and you’ll need adequate water in your system to stay hydrated. Many experts would suggest taking 6-8 glasses of water on a daily basis, but that will vary depending on every person’s body fluid requirements and on factors such as weight, height, physical activities, and where you are.
I usually drink up to 8 glasses of water, but I still feel thirsty. Do you think is that normal?
