20. Thoracic Extensions
For improved thoracic mobility and posture, we would suggest you perform thoracic extensions on a regular basis.
How do you perform this exercise?
You should perform thoracic extensions using a foam roller. If you don’t have it, use a hard back chair that would cover two-thirds or half of your back instead. Sit tall with a natural arch in your lower back. Keep your chest up. Now, place your hands behind your head keeping the elbows forward. Keep the body in this position and try reaching back over the foam roller or chair. Your chin must be neutrally positioned and your ribcage must be extended over the roller or chair back. Your focus must be on pulling your ribs apart. Never move your lower back when performing thoracic extensions.
