Here’s Proof That Weight Loss is Very Easy

Question – how many overweight and obese people think that losing weight is hard? The answer is all of them. Otherwise, they would have done it already.

But I don’t blame them, judging by the amount of misleading information, exaggerated claims, dietary myths, delusional nutcases spreading nonsense and amount of different diets it is difficult to figure out where to start.

But fear not, I am going to prove to you that weight loss is so easy that you’ll probably slap yourself afterwards for not stumbling upon this article earlier.

Forget everything…

Forget absolutely everything you’ve heard about weight loss for a moment. You don’t need a gym, you don’t need a special diet, book, program, workout DVD, nothing of that sort. You only need to know one simple truth and work from there.

The only way to actually lose weight is to expend (burn) more energy than you consume (eat). I suggest reading my 7 principles of weight loss for more detailed information.

You need to accept this fact and never question it. Everyone who tells you otherwise is full of shit misleading information and is probably going to try to sell you something.

When you heard that you need to burn more energy, what immediately popped into your head? Exercise, or diet (if not, what’s wrong with you?)!

We’ve been programmed by the mainstream media and all the big health websites that we need to diet, and exercise in order for us to lose weight. Because they usually make money by selling worthless gadgets, workout routines, whey protein, meal replacements, diet plans and other nonsense, which you think will help you lose weight and be healthy.

Think of Shake Weight, which, to my surprise, sold over 2 million units according to Wikipedia. [1] All of that may help (except Shake Weight), but it’s a waste of money for the most part.

Here’s the easy part.

Taking all of the above into account, here’s how easy it is to lose weight. Let’s say you eat at McDonalds’ every day (which you should never do), or any other fast food place, you probably order the whole meal, burger, large french fries, large drink.

According to McDonalds’ nutrition facts sheet, one large french fries has 510 calories.

Just by eliminating french fries from every meal and doing nothing else, you will lose 48.96 pounds of fat in just one year.

Remember, by doing nothing else, no exercise, no additional dieting, doing the same thing you usually do, minus the fries.

Let’s say you don’t eat at McDonalds’ every day, but you’re a coffee drinker. Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks is the first thing you drink in the morning.

According to Starbucks’ website 20 oz Pumpkin Spice Latte has 470 calories. More than half of them are from added sugar.

By eliminating liquid diabetes from Starbucks from your current diet, you will lose 45.12 pounds of fat in one year. Do you understand how easy it is?

Maybe you don’t eat at McDonalds and you don’t drink Starbucks coffee, chances are you’re into sweets. Say you like to snack on Snickers bars because of how they are usually advertised as healthy, hunger battling snacks, but it’s basically diabetes in solid from.

According to Snickers’ website one bar contains 250 calories. But you most likely will buy Snickers 2 go, because of how much more ‘value’ it provides, which brings us to 440 calories.

Just by eliminating this delicious nutty bar of type 2 diabetes you’re looking at a weight loss of 42.24 pounds per year. I’m not even taking into consideration the fact that you’ll not just lose weight, but you’ll also prevent developing type 2 diabetes.

Higher consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages is associated with a greater magnitude of weight gain and an increased risk for development of type 2 diabetes in women, possibly by providing excessive calories and large amounts of rapidly absorbable sugars. [1]

and…

In addition to weight gain, higher consumption of SSBs (sugar-sweetened beverages) is associated with development of metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes. These data provide empirical evidence that intake of SSBs should be limited to reduce obesity-related risk of chronic metabolic diseases. [2]

Summary

These are just a few examples of how you can lose weight by doing literally nothing. I also did a similar article on soda. But you need to snap out of the mainstream propaganda. You don’t need anything. Weight loss occurs naturally when you eliminate all the garbage from your diet, one by one just like you eliminate pests from your house.

Just for the sake of the experiment, eliminate one thing from your current diet, without adding anything to it. Track your weight for at least 3 weeks and be amazed by the results.

Before you know it you’ll be 20, 30, 50 pounds lighter than you currently are.

  1. I always talk about the calories in vs calories out, but those calculations really hit it on the head. I loved the line about eliminating liquid diabetes! 470#!! That should really bring it home for everyone, why pump poison into your body when you workout regularly? Heathy is a full body sport, nice post!
